I’m a native Floridian, but I’ve been blessed to live in several other states too. My husband Ben and I met at Penn State, where we both studied civil engineering. We are the proud parents of Charlie, 9, and Violet, 7. We stay very busy with their baseball and softball activities. I also enjoy reading, gardening, and watching old movies when our schedule allows.
I was raised Protestant and have been part of congregations in five different denominations. Ben was raised in a combination of Catholic and Protestant churches. The Episcopal Church is where we feel most at home for worship, and both our children were baptized Episcopalian.
I have been greatly influenced in my spiritual life by the writing of C.S. Lewis, Madeleine L’Engle, and Charles Colson. Our greatest blessing is being made in the image of God, and the beauty of Christianity is that it affirms the value and equality of every human being based on that fact alone. As a family, we have been so touched by St. Mary’s warmth and love to all. I feel it is a tremendous gift to both me and my family to be asked to serve on the vestry. Thank you for offering me this opportunity to learn and serve and grow.

St. Mary’s is a central part of our Christian life where we have made very close friends. Diane and I have been members of St Mary’s for four years. We recently celebrated our 51st wedding anniversary. Our two daughters, living in Texas, have blessed us with four grandchildren. I lead a Life Group every Thursday in the study of Acts of the Apostles. I am also a member of the Outreach Committee. In our previous church, St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Fairfield, Connecticut, I was active in the Cursillo Community and served as a vestry member. In Connecticut, I founded Shepherds, Inc., a philanthropic organization that mentors and financially supports at risk inner city high school students.
I am a US Army Veteran and former career FBI Agent. After leaving the Bureau, I became CEO of Checkers International, Inc., an investigative firm specializing in corporate investigations and litigation support to law firms. I have a M.S. degree in Criminal Justice and a J.D. in law. It would be an honor to serve as a member of the vestry on your behalf.

My husband Arthur and I first attended a service at St. Mary’s in the spring of 2015. We had been searching for a church that felt like a home to both of us for over a year. After leaving the service, we stood in the courtyard, and looked at each other and immediately knew we had found the community with which we wanted to worship. St. Mary’s is where we had both of our sons, Noah and Liam, baptized when they were born. It is where we have celebrated Christmas, Easter, made new friends and grown in our faith.
I was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, the oldest of four children. With my parents and siblings, I immigrated to the United States in the 90s when I was a teenager, where I finished middle school and high school in Lawton Oklahoma. I attended university first at Tulane in New Orleans and then switched to Oklahoma State University, where I graduated with degrees in history and international business. I lived in Lubbock, Texas after college for six years while I traveled extensively in a sales job and pursued my MBA at Texas Tech University. I moved to Stuart in 2012 after visiting for a wedding and being charmed by Stuart’s bridges, beaches, and charming downtown. I met Arthur, my husband, here and in 2014 we were married in Boca Raton. I have worked in medical device quality and regulatory, and currently have a position as a contract manager at Cleveland Clinic Florida where I negotiate contracts with health insurance companies. I currently teach Sunday school for St. Mary’s VPK through 5th graders and in my free time I enjoy reading, cooking, and spending time with my family.
