Baptism

It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. It is a testimony to the believer’s faith in the final resurrection of the dead.

If you are seeking baptism for you or your child, please complete the baptism form and submit to the church office, or email to kate@stmarys-stuart.org.

Baptism is a symbol of our commitment to God and we welcome not just the young, people of all ages to be baptized in our church.

Confirmation

The sacramental rite in which the candidates “express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop” (BCP, p. 860). Those who were baptized at an early age and those baptized as adults without laying on of hands by a bishop are expected to make a mature public affirmation of their faith, recommit themselves to the responsibilities of their baptism, and receive laying on of hands by a bishop.

If you are seeking confirmation for you or your child (8th grade and older), please complete the confirmation application and submit to the church office, or email to kate@stmarys-stuart.org.

Holy Matrimony is the joyful union of husband and wife in mind, body, and spirit.

Wedding

St. Mary’s has a wedding policy through which members may be married in the church.  Non-members may also be married in the church, as long as the couple has membership and connection at another church or Christian faith community.

Of course, our event hall is open to all, and there is no membership requirement to celebrate a reception in our Pittenger Center hall.

For more information, call the office at (772) 287-3244.

Remembrance

Funeral

St. Mary’s has a policy that any person or family may have a funeral or memorial service at our church.

Please contact the church office if you need assistance.

The loss of a loved one is perhaps the most difficult experience that any person must
bear. Please know that we are praying for you during this time of grief.
